Formed under YG Entertainment, the machine behind BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER officially debuted in 2024, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about rookie acts on the scene. The group consists of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami (Haram), Rora, and Chiquita, each bringing their own unique blend of charisma, vocal power, and stage presence. From their debut single “Batter Up” to the follow-up hits “Sheesh” and “DRIP”, BABYMONSTER have already shown an impressive range, but their new release pushes the limits even further.

Their latest EP, “WE GO UP”, marks a new era for the group, one defined by bolder soundscapes, sharper rap flows, and performance-first energy. The four-track project trades in softness for swagger, amplifying the group’s confidence and attitude.

The title track “WE GO UP” stands as the album’s centerpiece: a cinematic, hip-hop dance anthem that hits with booming bass, fierce brass layers, and unrelenting rap verses. From the opening bars, it’s clear BABYMONSTER mean business. The song’s lyrics express a confident determination to keep rising higher, both as artists and as individuals.

Visually, the comeback feels like a blockbuster production, complete with dramatic set pieces, rapid-fire edits, and a narrative flair that reflects their growth since their debut. Each member commands the screen, blending precision choreography with a rebellious edge.

Since their debut, BABYMONSTER have built a reputation for crossing genres, from pop to R&B to rap, but “WE GO UP” feels like their mission statement. Confident, cohesive, and unapologetically fierce, it’s the sound of a group that knows exactly where they’re headed, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon.
