Faouzia Embraces Vulnerability and Independence in New Single “Porcelain”
Faouzia is stepping into a bold new chapter of her career with the release of “Porcelain”, a raw and emotionally charged piano ballad that marks both her first independent release and a powerful declaration of artistic autonomy.

Written and produced by Faouzia alongside longtime collaborator F E R R O, “Porcelain” strips back the sonic layers to let her haunting vocals and poetic lyricism shine. The track paints a painful portrait of emotional fragility and the lasting scars of a toxic relationship. “My delicate skin is far too thin, porcelain”, she sings, comparing herself to something beautiful but easily shattered, while confronting a partner who repeatedly leaves her “a mess” in their hands.
The lyrics are steeped in personal pain and resilience. From the opening lines: “Take your heart somewhere else / I don’t want any of it anymore”, Faouzia sets the tone for a song that is as cathartic as it is confessional. Each verse adds to the narrative of heartbreak and self-reclamation, culminating in a chorus that is both fragile and fierce.
This release follows a pivotal moment in Faouzia’s career. Back in November 2024, she took to social media to announce her transition into independence after more than six years with a label. “All I have ever wanted to do was create art that I’m passionate about and release albums that I’m proud of”, she shared. “Porcelain” is the first glimpse into that vision, a creative reset that’s as deeply personal as it is artistically liberating.
The accompanying music video, directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Taylor Ellis, visually echoes the song’s themes of vulnerability and destruction. With stark, cinematic imagery and delicate symbolism, the video follows Faouzia through a landscape of emotional wreckage, bringing the song’s poignant metaphors to life.
2024 also saw Faouzia reaching a global audience as she competed on the ninth season of the hit Chinese singing competition Singer 2024. Her stunning performances earned her a fourth-place finish, further cementing her status as an international powerhouse.
With “Porcelain”, Faouzia is not just baring her soul, she’s reclaiming her voice on her own terms. It’s a brave, beautiful beginning to a new era that promises more honesty, more emotion, and more of the unfiltered artistry that fans around the world have come to love.
