Molly Sandén Releases New Mini-Album “Strawberry Blonde”
Today marks the release of “Strawberry Blonde”, the highly anticipated new mini-album from Molly Sandén, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed and beloved voices. The eight-track project arrives as a shimmering, introspective journey through emotional escapism, pairing pink-hued disco elements with lyrics about longing, denial, and fleeting euphoria.
Described by Sandén as “wet daydreams” wrapped in glossy production, “Strawberry Blonde” offers a sonic refuge from reality. It’s the first of a two-part release, with a follow-up mini-album titled “Blåögd” set to arrive later this year, promising to do the opposite by confronting reality head-on.
The album includes previously released fan favorites and chart-toppers such as the platinum-certified “Slutet av sommarn”, “Tur i oturen”, and “Konfetti” with Norwegian popstar Astrid S, all of which have left a significant mark on both the Swedish and Norwegian charts.
Earlier this week, Sandén gave fans a visual taste of the album’s world with an official trailer directed by Kitty Schumacher, who also helmed the evocative video for “Slutet av sommarn”.

Released via Milkshake / Sony Music Sweden, the album is a collaborative creation featuring songwriting credits from Molly Sandén herself alongside Victor Rådström, Adam von Mentzer, Oliver Frid, Emelie Walcott, Louise Lennartsson, Jonathan Johansson, Pontus Persson, and more. Production duties were handled by Rådström, von Mentzer, Persson, and Frid.
Sandén fans can look forward to a rare live performance this summer, when she takes the stage for her only Swedish concert of the season at Way Out West on August 8. She’ll also headline major festivals in Norway, including Bergenfest, Findings Festival, and Neon Festival.
With “Strawberry Blonde”, Molly Sandén offers a lush, escapist soundtrack for summer, one that sparkles on the surface but carries emotional weight just beneath the glitter.
