Poppy, Amy Lee & Courtney LaPlante Unite for Powerful New Rock Anthem “End Of You”
In a seismic moment for the heavy music scene, three of rock’s most distinctive voices- Poppy, Amy Lee of Evanescence, and Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox have unleashed their long-anticipated collaborative single “End Of You”, out now via Sumerian Records. The powerhouse track arrives with a cinematic music video and has already ignited fervent speculation about a potential supergroup.

Produced by former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish, “End Of You” is a genre-defying juggernaut that blends soaring alt-rock, glitchy metalcore, and electronic grit, all anchored by three lead vocalists at the top of their game. Lyrically, it’s a rallying cry of transformation and empowerment: “The end of you is the start of life for me.”
A Dark Anthem of Rebirth
The genesis of the track began with Poppy and Jordan Fish, who envisioned a dark, Moulin Rouge-inspired anthem that would unite three generations of women reshaping rock music. From there, the concept quickly evolved into something much bigger.
“I thought it would be really powerful to bring us all together — almost like our own version of Lady Marmalade, but from a heavier universe,” Poppy stated in an interview. “That line — ‘The end of you is the start of life for me’ — felt like the seed of something fierce and universal.”
Amy Lee was instantly drawn in. “It’s about challenging the old ways, about shedding outdated norms,” she explained. “In a lot of ways, it’s a feminist anthem, but it’s also more than that — it’s about the collective power of reinvention.”
Courtney LaPlante joined as the final piece of the puzzle, adding her unmistakable growls in the breakdown. “Poppy and Amy went all in, so I had to show up and match their energy,” she said. “They made it easy.”
A Music Video Worthy of Its Sound
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Jensen Noen (Bring Me The Horizon, Demi Lovato, Falling In Reverse), the official music video plays like a gothic fantasy epic. Jumping between surreal environments, a haunted theatre, a crystalline palace, an emerald hallway, and a looming dark tower, the video visually mirrors the track’s emotional arc. It culminates with the trio standing shoulder to shoulder, radiating defiance and unity.
Though the track was recorded across several locations, with much of the writing taking place at Lee’s home in Nashville, the video shoot in Los Angeles marked the only day the trio spent together in person. According to Poppy, the bond formed quickly: “There was lots of laughter. I felt like the proud little sister. It was like the 20s, 30s, and 40s all represented in one band.”
Lee agreed: “It felt like we were in a band together, just for this one moment in time. That spirit of not giving a f*** anymore — that was definitely in the room.”
The Supergroup That Could Be?
While “End Of You” is being billed as a one-off collaboration, fans are already clamoring for more. All three artists have expressed openness to future projects, though the logistics of aligning their jam-packed schedules may prove difficult.
“This track deserves its moment,” said Poppy. “But I wouldn’t rule out more. It was just too fun.”
Lee hinted at future possibilities beyond music: “We’ve even joked about doing a game show together,” she laughed. “There’s real chemistry here — and the group chat is amazing.”
A Career Milestone for Three Powerhouses
Each artist enters this collaboration at a pivotal moment in their respective careers:
- Poppy is riding high off her critically acclaimed album “Negative Spaces“, her ongoing “They’re All Around Us” tour, and a whirlwind of creative ventures that span TV, directing, and publishing. Her Grammy-nominated collaboration “Suffocate” with Knocked Loose cemented her as one of the boldest voices in modern metal.
- Amy Lee is preparing Evanescence’s next full-length album (due 2026) after the success of recent singles “Afterlife” and “Fight Like A Girl (feat. K.Flay)”. The band will hit stadiums with Metallica later this year.
- Courtney LaPlante is fresh off the release of Spiritbox’s “Tsunami Sea”, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The band’s genre-bending EP “Fear Of Fear” landed consecutive Grammy nominations and high-profile collaborations, pushing Spiritbox further into crossover territory.
A Defining Moment for Women in Rock
More than a star-studded track, “End Of You” stands as a statement, a call to embrace feminine energy in spaces that have traditionally been defined by masculinity.
“We didn’t try to be ‘one of the guys’,” said Lee. “We brought our full selves into this, and that includes softness, rage, elegance, power — all of it. That’s what makes this track special.”
LaPlante echoed the sentiment: “These two break boundaries every year — whether it’s Amy on a Grammy stage, or Poppy in a graphic novel. Being part of this? It felt historic.”
A Moment That Could Become a Movement
“End Of You” isn’t just a genre-bending track; it’s a statement of solidarity, reinvention, and power. By blending their unique voices and unapologetic presence, Poppy, Amy Lee, and Courtney LaPlante have crafted more than a song; they’ve ignited a moment that resonates across generations and genres.
Whether this collaboration remains a one-time spectacle or evolves into something more permanent, one thing is certain: the energy they’ve unleashed together is too potent to ignore.
As Lee put it best, “We’re all in a band together — even if it’s just for now.” And if “End Of You” is only the beginning, then rock fans everywhere should be paying very close attention to what comes next.
For now, the message is clear: This is not the end, it’s only the start.
