JADE is back and bolder than ever with her latest single, “FUFN (F**k You For Now)”, officially dropping today, March 14th. After weeks of cryptic teasers—including a cheeky moment at the BRITs where a dancer’s backside bore the song’s title in marker—the Little Mix star has finally given fans what they’ve been waiting for.

A Song Born from a Dream (and a Little Relationship Drama)

Following the success of “Angel Of My Dreams” and “IT Girl”, “FUFN” had big shoes to fill—and it does not disappoint. Described by JADE as her “big, all guns blazing, going-for-it pop song,” the track brings fiery energy, infectious production, and lyrics that hit right where they hurt.

The inspiration? A dream. More specifically, a nightmare in which JADE’s boyfriend, Jordan Stephens, cheated on her. Waking up still fuming, she turned that emotional rollercoaster into a track, bringing the idea to fellow artist and co-writer Raye. “It stemmed from having a dream about my boyfriend cheating on me and waking up the next day fuming,” JADE explained. “Me and Raye brainstormed about how to make it more about a big argument—you know it’s not the end, but you really want to let them have it in that moment.”

Jordan, of course, took it all in stride. In a surprise voice note played during JADE’s Capital Breakfast interview, he cheekily called himself “Jay from London” and praised the track: “It’s quite possibly the most incredible song I’ve ever heard… knowing that arguments don’t have to last forever is comforting.”

The Making of a Pop Anthem

Co-written by JADE, Raye, Dave Hamelin, and Aryay, “FUFN” was brought to life with production by LOSTBOY, Dave Hamelin, and Ramera Abraham. The track blends powerhouse vocals, electrifying beats, and sharp lyrics that perfectly capture the push-and-pull of a heated argument.

“I love working with Raye,” JADE shared. “We’ve written a bunch of stuff for the album, and I think we just really gel because, as we know, she’s also an artist and a songwriter. She understands what it means to really show everyone your identity through your music.”

With “FUFN (F**k You For Now)” out now, one thing’s for sure: JADE isn’t just stepping out of Little Mix’s shadow—she’s setting the stage on fire.
