The Grammy-winning artist, now 37, reminisces about a tender moment she shared with her husband, Cody DaLuz, back when they were still in the early stages of their relationship. “I wrote this song before we had children,” Stone recalls. “I was like, ‘Stay up, stay up with me, babe.’ I was always trying to think of ways to get him to stay awake, but he would always end up falling asleep. The lyrics reflect that feeling of being head over heels in love and wanting to keep those magical moments alive for as long as possible.”

“Loving You” was crafted alongside Stone’s longtime collaborator and producer, Steve Greenwell, who has been a pivotal figure in her musical journey. “I got so many messages saying, ‘We need a live album,'” Stone shares. “I avoided it for a very long time because I just didn’t think I was good enough to do a live album. But then I realized that when I’m in the studio, I sing live anyway. I just needed to embrace what they were asking for.”

The process of creating the live album was an emotional journey for Stone, who found herself moved to tears as she reflected on the time and effort she had invested in her music. “This is my life in an album, and it sounds really good. I just felt very proud,” she says. “There are moments where I’m not perfect, but that’s OK.”
