Marcus & Martinus Unveil New Album “Unforgettable”
Marcus & Martinus, the dynamic twin-duo who recently represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest, are releasing their highly anticipated new album “Unforgettable”.
“We’re so excited to release our first album in six years! It’s a great representation of where we are as artists right now and shows a more mature sound. We’ve been working really hard on it and we’re so proud of the result. We really hope all our fans will enjoy it”, says Marcus & Martinus.
Having secured a respectable 9th place, with their song “Unforgettable”, representing the host country Sweden in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest, Marcus & Martinus have further cemented their status in the music industry.
“It was a crazy experience and the most fun we’ve ever had. It also gave us so many new fans and a huge support. So, the song will always have a special place in our hearts”, they add.
Since their breakout in 2012, the 22-year-old twin brothers have become a force to be reckoned with on the Scandinavian pop scene. Their hit track “Elektrisk” still holds the record for the most streamed Norwegian song of all time on Spotify, with almost 112 million streams. In addition to that, they’ve shared the stage with artists like Jason Derulo and performed at prestigious events such as the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony and winning Masked Singer Sweden.
The new album “Unforgettable” signifies the twin’s entry into their adult era, showcasing a bigger soundscape, more mature lyrics, and stronger voices. Among such songs, we find a beautiful rendition of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” and “Air” which was one of the biggest hits in Sweden during the last year.
Marcus & Martinus recently started their big European Tour – We Are Not The Same Tour Part 2– with shows in countries such as Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Italy.
”We are so excited to finally go on tour! It’s gonna be an epic experience where we will perform lots of new music together with old hits! We are so thrilled to see you all again, we have missed you so much. Hope to see you there”, they express enthusiastically.
