Rita Ora Ignites Summer with Fiery New Single “Heat”
Pop powerhouse Rita Ora is turning up the temperature with the release of her brand-new single “Heat”, a vibrant and sun-soaked anthem that marks the start of a bold new musical chapter. Dropping the track today, Ora aligns its release with her headline performance at the World Pride Music Festival in Washington, D.C., a symbolic moment underscoring the song’s themes of freedom, joy, and self-expression.

Produced by hitmaker Peter Thomas (known for work with P!nk, Selena Gomez, and Teddy Swims) and co-written with Leland, Michael Matosic, and pop icon Troye Sivan, “Heat” pulses with playful energy and sizzling hooks. The track sees Ora leaning fully into summer mode — carefree, confident, and utterly contagious.
“Dropping ‘Heat’ on the same day as my World Pride performance feels like the perfect way to kick off summer,” Rita shares. “It’s bold, cheeky, and totally drenched in golden, feel-good energy. For me, it’s all about celebrating freedom, joy, being unapologetically yourself and owning who you are!”
Fans got an early taste of “Heat” during Ora’s opening sets on the U.S. leg of Kylie Minogue’s Tension tour. and now, the single is set to become a centerpiece of her own live performances.
Accompanying the release is a technicolor music video directed by Justin Daashuur Hopkins which will premiere later on today. Filmed on the sun-drenched shores of Miami Beach, the video channels the offbeat charm of legendary photojournalist Martin Parr, throwing viewers into a surreal, sweat-slicked day among Miami’s most flamboyant beachgoers. Think retro swimwear, neon flamingos, and an endless summer dream.
With a career that spans 13 UK Top 10 singles, including four No. 1s, and over a billion streams in the UK alone, Rita Ora remains one of Britain’s most successful and enduring pop exports. In the U.S., she’s made her mark across Billboard’s charts, boasting multiple No. 1 hits on the Dance Club Songs list and a series of high-profile collaborations.
Her most recent album “You & I” (2023) topped the UK Official Independent Albums Chart and became the highest-debuting album by a female artist on the UK Albums Chart that year.
