Adam Lambert Kicks Off His Boldest Era Yet with Double Single “LUBE” & “WET DREAM”
GRAMMY-nominated international superstar and LGBTQ+ trailblazer Adam Lambert ushers in his boldest and most unapologetic era yet with today’s announcement of his new EP, “AFTERS”, set for a July 19 release via The Orchard.
Fans will get the first taste of the new project today, May 31st, as Adam released two tracks from the EP – “Lube” and “Wet Dream” – just ahead of his highly anticipated performance at WeHo Pride. Both tracks are now available on all major streaming platforms.
“AFTERS” is an audacious exploration of sexuality and liberation, capturing the essence of modern queer culture with pulsating beats and sultry lyrics. Lambert’s fearless approach to this new era is evident in every note and word, promising a transformative listening experience.
Discussing his inspirations for the EP, Adam shares, “Creating “AFTERS” has been such a liberating experience as I chose to craft an EP of house music that’s unapologetically queer and sex-positive. I throw many house parties and my aim was to create a soundtrack inspired by wild nights, giving a voice to our communities’ hedonistic desires and exploits. Feeling more confident than ever, I wanted to get shamelessly raw and real with the listener. “AFTERS” is meant to make you move, sweat, fantasize, and connect!”
The tracks “Lube” and “Wet Dream” set the tone for what promises to be a groundbreaking release. Both songs delve into themes of desire and freedom, inviting listeners to embrace their fantasies and dance like nobody’s watching. Lambert’s signature powerhouse vocals combined with infectious house beats create an irresistible allure, marking this new work as a pivotal moment in his career.
“Lube” was written by Adam Lambert, VINCINT, Parson James, and NOVODOR, and produced by NOVODOR, known for his work with Troye Sivan. Adam also recently collaborated with VINCINT on his single “Another Lover”.
Meanwhile, “Wet Dream” was penned by Adam Lambert, Ferras, JHart, Sarah Hudson, and Zhone, with Zhone, who has also produced for Loreen‘s current hit single “Forever”, taking the helm on production. These collaborations bring a diverse array of talents and experiences to the table, enriching the EP with unique perspectives and sonic textures.
With “AFTERS”, Adam Lambert not only pushes musical boundaries but also continues to solidify his role as a fearless advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. His dedication to creating art that reflects the diversity and dynamism of queer culture is evident, making it a celebration of identity, pleasure, and uninhibited self-expression.
As anticipation builds for the full EP release on July 19th, fans and newcomers alike are encouraged to dive into “Lube” and “Wet Dream” for an exhilarating preview of what’s to come. Adam Lambert is back, bolder and more brilliant than ever, ready to make you move, sweat, and dream with “AFTERS”.
