Doja Cat unveils new music video for “Streets”.
The last couple of years have been an amazing ride for Doja Cat, who has seen her music climb up the charts and herself pose among other major stars such as Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, Bebe Rexha, The Weeknd, and others.
Her sophomore album “Hot Pink” has been one of the best-selling RnB and rap albums of 2020 and her hit single “Say So” one of the most played in the same year.
Doja is still keeping up with the promotion of the project with the release of the seventh official single “Streets” after it became a sleeper hit.
A remixed version of “Streets”, containing the first 12 seconds of the 1959 hit “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” (previously sampled by Doja Cat herself on the song “Freak”) became a TikTok challenge known as the “#SilhouetteChallenge”, in which a person would pose suggestively while backlit.
The track was written by Doja in collaboration with Demarie Sheki, Christopher Jefferies, Ron “NEFF-U” Feemster, Lydia Asrat, Dominique Logan, Yeti Beats, and Darius Logan, while the production was handled by Blaq Tuxedo (Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, TAEYEON from Girls’ Generation).
After the song gained such a huge momentum it was not only officially released as a single but it also received an accompanying music video, directed by Christian Breslauer (Bebe Rexha, Tory Lanez, Marshmello, Jason Derulo).
