Olly Alexander’s Eurovision Quest Begins with Debut Solo Single “Dizzy”

Today, Olly Alexander, renowned as the frontman of Years & Years, steps into the spotlight with his solo debut single, “Dizzy”. The track not only signifies a new chapter in Alexander’s career but also serves as the United Kingdom’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, set to grace the stage in Malmö, Sweden on May 11th.

Expressing his excitement, Alexander shares, “I’ve loved watching Eurovision since I was a kid and I’m thrilled to be taking part this year. As a young boy, I always looked forward to this incredible event of unbridled joy, the wonderfully chaotic mix of musical styles, stage performances, heartfelt emotions, and humor. I really can’t believe I’m going to be part of such a special legacy and fly the flag for Britain in the gayest way possible, it’s an honor! I’ve wanted to do this for a long time and it feels like the right time to start releasing music under my own name. I’m determined to give it my all and put on an excellent and unforgettable performance for you all!
