“You Live and You Learn” – Listen to Maria Mena’s new single!
It’s been more than a decade since Maria Mena took us by storm with her amazingly sentimental singles “Just Hold Me” and “Miss You Love” among others, all included in her critically acclaimed third studio album “Apparently Unaffected”.
Since then, Norway’s prominent chanteuse has further released four studio albums and rightfully kept her place in the spotlight and the music charts.
This year, the talented singer is planning to release her eighth official album via Sony Music Entertainment Norway. Titled “They Never Leave Their Wives”, the album is set for a fall release, though the exact date has yet to be confirmed.
Maria kicked off the promotion of her new project in April by releasing the first official single “Not OK”, a powerful ballad about dealing with mental health issues but managing to find strength in the end.
The song was followed by the second official single “Lies (they never leave their wives)”, released in June.
Now, the time has come for the release of the third official single off of the album. The track titled “You Live and You Learn” is another powerful ballad that slowly builds up to an anthem. Lyrically, the song deals with the aftermath of a relationship that didn’t end well and finding the strength to persevere and love yourself, even though you were hurt.
“You Live and You Learn” was written by Maria alongside Olav Tronsmoen, who also produced it. According to Maria herself: “This one is for anyone who has ever loved someone so hard that they lost themselves.”
