Zara Larsson announces holiday EP & unveils new tracks “Winter Song” and “Memory Lane”
Zara Larsson is paving the way for the release of her third international studio album “Venus”, which is scheduled for a February 9th release.
So far, she has revealed the tracks “Can’t Tame Her”, “End Of Time”, and “On My Love” in collaboration with David Guetta.
Now, the talented pop star has a surprise for all fans in the form of a new EP, which will drop prior to the album.
Its title “Honor The Light”, and it will be released on December 1st. It will consist of the following 6 tracks:
- Memory Lane
- Winter Song
- Silent Night
- Light A Candle
- Tänd Ett Ljus (Swedish version of Light A Candle)
- Sankta Lucia
The EP is scheduled to be part of her upcoming intimate Swedish performances of the same name and a filmed special premiering this Christmas. “Honor The Light” is a modern interpretation of the Swedish Lucia tradition. The performance will consist of three acts and will feature new acoustic versions of songs from her impressive catalog, along with classic Christmas songs and guest artists. It’s a celebration of light and culture that culminates in the kind of epic pop show that only Zara can deliver.
Prior to the release of the EP, Zara has now unveiled 2 of the new songs:
“Winter Song”, which is a cover version of Sara Bareilles‘ and Ingrid Michaelson‘s song, and “Memory Lane”, a brand new track inspired by Zara’s memories of winter while growing up in Stockholm, Sweden.
The track was written by Zara alongside ELVIRA and Klara Söderberg of First Aid Kit. ELVIRA was also responsible for its production in collaboration with ACT SOCIAL.
