Nelly Furtado has been making waves in the music scene over the past year with several collaborations, such as with Dom Dolla on the track “Eat Your Man”, as well as Timbaland and Justin Timberlake on “Keep Going Up” or “Gala y Dalí” with Juanes.

Now, she has released a brand-new collaboration, titled “Love Bites”. This track, co-written with Tove Lo and SG Lewis, who also receive feature credits, was produced by SG Lewis.

“I felt called back to music from the DJ community,” Furtado shared. “DJs were remixing my songs at concerts, clubs, and on social media, and I realized how much people like to dance and escape to my music. It’s the healthiest vice you can have, and I love the opportunity to write music that lets people escape more than anything.”

“Love Bites” is a sultry dance anthem that captures the energy and escapism of dance floors and live DJ sets, which reignited Furtado’s passion for music. The single was officially released on May 22nd, 2024, and marks the first collaboration between Furtado, Tove Lo, and SG Lewis.

The artist trio had been building anticipation for “Love Bites” for several weeks, teasing snippets of the track on social media. Fans eagerly awaited the release, excited to hear the blend of styles from these three talented musicians.

Alongside the single, its official music video premiered, directed by Gemma Warren. The video perfectly complements the song’s fun and sexy attitude, featuring vibrant and dynamic visuals that bring the track’s energy to life.

In addition to being a catchy dance track, “Love Bites” symbolizes Furtado’s return to the music scene, inspired by the vibrant and dynamic DJ culture. In a recent interview, she unveiled that her new album will include 14 tracks and that it will be released later this year.
