Tinashe releases music video for “X / I Can See the Future”.
Tinashe released her fifth studio album “333” back in August 2021 and it is maybe her best project so far!
Being the second album released independently under her own record label Tinashe Music, she has proven that she knows best what works for her music sonically as well as creatively.
She officially kicked off the new era last June by releasing the fist official single “Pasadena” which features American rapper Buddy. The song was accompanied by an official music video directed by Micaiah Carter (Kehlani, Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, Normani).
A few weeks later, the second single “Bouncin'” was revealed along with a music video directed by Lloyd Pursall (Kelly Rowland, Billie Eilish). The video received praise for its innovative and unique choreography on trampolines which was also incorporated during her live peformances.
“I Can See the Future” was then released as a promo single, along with announcing the full album track list.
Right before kicking off her 333 Tour in September, she released a music video for “Undo (Break My Heart)”, a song created in collaboration with Australian Dj and producer, Wax Motif.
Now, the talented artist has released yet another single and it’s none other than the fan-favorite “X”, her first collaboration with R&B singer Jeremih.
The track was written by both artists and Drew Love, while Chrishan (Summer Walker, Chris Brown, Meek Mill), Marii Beatz (G-Eazy, Ty Dolla $ign, Gucci Mane), and Hitmaka (Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Drake) handled its production.
In a recent podcast Tinashe stated that the song was supposed to be a female collaboration with Ariana Grande; however, it didn’t work out as Grande was taking a break from working on music. She also sent the song to Rina Sawayama, but that also fell through as Sawayama was filming for John Wick.
The official music video to the song has just made its premiere and it is a sight for sore eyes as Tinashe serves stunning choreography and avant gard looks with an accompanying funny story somehow connected to her song “I Can See the Future”.
Make sure to watch it in HD while turning your speakers and bass up to full capacity, it is definitely worth it!
