FKA twigs is officially stepping into her next era. After weeks of cryptic teasers, the avant-pop visionary has announced that her new album “EUSEXUA Afterglow” will arrive November 14th via Atlantic/Young, a full-length follow-up to her Mercury-nominated 2025 release “EUSEXUA”.

The announcement arrives alongside the unveiling of the project’s first single, “Cheap Hotel”, a synth-soaked, late-night confessional produced by FKA twigs, Two Shell, Manni Dee, and lilbubblegum. Twigs co-wrote the track with lilbubblegum, Joy Henson, Petra Levitt, and Manni Dee. Over glimmering electronics, she delivers breathy, ethereal vocals: “Do you wanna bring a friend? / To the cheap hotel right behind the club / In room twenty or twenty four / Call me when you’re outside.”

Directed by Jordan Hemingway, the seven-minute music video blurs the line between art film and club fantasy. Starring twigs herself and the Clermont Twins, the visual amplifies the track’s neon-soaked hedonism with surrealist imagery and intimate choreography, a trademark of twigs’ visual world-building.

Last month, the singer described “EUSEXUA Afterglow” on social media as “a visceral waterfall, as you leave the rave in search of your next wonder… hungry, raw and ready to be adored.” Unlike her July standalone single “Perfectly”, the album promises to dive deeper into the shimmering, nocturnal universe twigs began sketching on “EUSEXUA”.

The release of “Afterglow” marks yet another chapter in a career defined by fearless experimentation. Beyond music, twigs continues to expand her creative universe, penning scripts with Jeremy O. Harris, collaborating with Yeat, and preparing to star opposite Nicolas Cage in Lofty Nathan’s biblical horror film “The Carpenter’s Son“.
