Kim Petras Drops New Hyperpop Club Anthem “Freak It”
Kim Petras is keeping the summer energy alive with the release of her new single “Freak It”, a euphoric hyperpop track co-produced with Nightfeelings, Margo XS, and Frost Children.

Originally intended as the closing track on her upcoming album KP3, the song became an unexpected fan favorite after Petras debuted it live, prompting her to fast-track its release.
“‘Freak It’ was supposed to be the last track on the album, and that was that,” Petras shares. “Then I started playing it live, and the fans went insane. At some point, I just had to give in. I wrote and produced it with my friends, which made it even more fun to finally put out. I miss the chaos and joy of artists like LMFAO and Avicii, and honestly, I just want to lose my mind at clubs this summer listening to this song. The fans yelling at me to release it basically did me a favor. God was definitely in the studio that day.”
With pounding basslines, glitchy synths, and an infectious hook urging listeners to “freak it” from the penthouse to the basement, the track channels the hedonistic spirit of Euro club culture while delivering the kind of high-energy chaos that made early 2010s party anthems unforgettable.
“Freak It” follows her recent single “Polo” and arrives amid a packed summer for Petras, who has been lighting up Pride stages from West Hollywood to Boston and making appearances at major fashion events.
The release also comes after a prolific streak that includes her 2023 albums “Feed The Beast” and “Problématique”, along with last year’s “Slut Pop Miami” EP.
While details about KP3 remain under wraps, “Freak It” gives fans a taste of the dancefloor-ready energy that may define Petras’s next chapter. Until then, she’s made one thing clear: this summer, it’s all about letting loose.
