BLACKPINK Returns With Explosive New Single “JUMP”
BLACKPINK is officially back, and they’re not holding anything back!
After a three-year hiatus from new music as a group, the global K-pop superstars have unleashed “JUMP,” a high-octane, genre-bending anthem that marks a bold new sonic chapter for the group. Premiered during the opening night of their Deadline world tour on July 5 in Seoul, the track arrived on streaming platforms on July 11th and has already made history.

Produced by a powerhouse team, Diplo, 24, Boaz van de Beatz, Zecca, and Ape Drums, “JUMP” sees BLACKPINK dive headfirst into Hardstyle, a fast and furious subgenre of electronic dance music. The song features a dynamic writing lineup that includes Teddy Park, Diplo, 24, JUMPA, Zikai, Malachiii, Claudia Valentina, and Jesse Bluu. The result? A pulse-pounding, adrenaline-charged banger that fuses the group’s signature charisma with industrial synths, thundering bass, and a beat built for the festival stage.
In a press release, the song was described as delivering “an intense, addictive energy that instantly gets pulses racing”, and fans seem to agree.
Just 48 hours after release, “JUMP” soared to No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart, earning over 13.1 million streams worldwide. This makes BLACKPINK the first and only K-pop act to top the chart three times, following their previous No. 1 hits “Pink Venom” and “Shut Down” in 2022.
The track also claimed the top spot on iTunes charts in 60 countries, including the US and UK, cementing its global impact.
To accompany the single, BLACKPINK dropped a visually stunning music video directed by Dave Meyers (known for his work with Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, and Billie Eilish). The clip imagines a futuristic city overtaken by the group’s electrifying presence—each member commanding chaos with elegance, power, and choreography that matches the track’s kinetic intensity.
The release of “JUMP” coincides with the launch of the Deadline world tour, which kicked off at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on July 12th–13th. The two-night event sold out completely, drawing a combined 100,000 fans and breaking the attendance record for a global girl group tour. The second night also featured a surprise appearance by Bruno Mars, who joined Rosé onstage for a live duet of their hit “APT”, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
With “JUMP”, BLACKPINK isn’t just returning, they’re rewriting the rules of global pop yet again.
